I can't help but think that the man in the black jacket reminds me of Father Damien Karras from The Exorcist. I watched too many horror movies at a young age.
Film: Red Road They're calling it a thriller but I think that is primarily because the relationship between the main characters is not fully revealed until the end. I'd say it's more of a realist drama. It's visually beautiful which has a lot to do with the use of natural light in day scenes and the colours of the street (security lights, fluorescents, etc) in night scenes. I loved the landscapes especially the large, garbage-strewn but empty spaces around the hi-rise buildings.
